Managing multiple open windows on your desktop

If your anything like me, you find yourself with a multitude of open windows on your desktop. I have counted fifteen open on my desktop once.

Again, if your anything like me, you have lots of your favourite programs on your desktop so how do you shut those pesky windows to get to your desktop ... easy ...

... right click your mouse button on an empty area of the taskbar (normally at the bottom of your screen) and from the menu that pops up select 'minimize all windows' or in Windows XP select 'Show the desktop'.

All of your windows will be minimized and you can open them one at a time by a double left mouse click. You can also close them from the minimized position by a right mouse click on the minimized window you want to close and selecting 'Close' from the pop up menu.

Selecting 'Restore' from the same pop up menu will open the window back to it's original size just before you minimized it and selecting 'Maximize' from the pop up menu will open the window up in full screen mode.

Remember learning how to manipulate those windows is what MS Windows is all about.

Remember keep those windows closed

Bye for now
